The Brownie Barn
The Brownie Barn at Hatton is a self-service Honesty Shop situated in a very quiet corner of the beautiful Angus Countryside.
The Brownie Barn is filled to the rafters with Artisana multi award-winning chocolate Brownies, along with carefully selected products, art & curios from makers local to Angus.
We are Dog Friendly and provide free treats & water for your pooch.
We encourage you to stay and soak up the beautiful views around us, so feel free to help yourself to a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy one of the books from our Book Swap corner.
You can pay by cash or card at the Barn and we are all on one level with good access for wheelchairs (we do not have a loo).

Ailsa opened the Brownie Barn in 2020. After setting up and running Artisana since 2014, the Barn was just the next step in offering everyone top quality chocolate products to the good people of Angus and those visiting.
Ailsa trained as Patissiere at Le Cordon Bleu in London and has a background in Art Galleries. After selling Artisana in 2022, for health reasons, to another high quality local food business, she continues to sell their products in the Brownie Barn and now has time to find more beautiful local makers to showcase, as well as more time to read and go for long dog walks
