Glen Doll Lodge
I took on the role of restoring Glen Doll Lodge in 2019, started painting each room, and slowly buying furniture, quirky bits and pieces, being such an old building, it was built in 1860s for the Earl of South Esk, and was originally a shooting lodge. It then passed through different owners, most folk will remember it as Glen Doll Youth Hostel, with the Squash Court!!
We have carefully done up each room hopefully in a way that it’s comfortable and relaxing. In the lodge itself it’s made up of 7 Double ensuites and 1 twin room, 2lounges, gamesroom with full size pool table and a fully equippedkitchen. Being an old lady the lodge has tested us at times, revealing lots of little quirks and anomalies….
We’ve tried to keep the inside of the lodge tradional but quirky…
Our Cottage is 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, lounge, kitchen all done to a high standard.
