Carol Sinclair is a ceramic artist working to commission and creating one-off sculptures and installations. She works with white and black porcelain and uses a signature technique of inlaid colour to capture the colours, textures and shapes in the world around her, especially taking inspiration from the beautiful Angus countryside. Carol works with galleries and retail outlets to create individual and limited edition collections including bowls, dishes and jewellery. Hi, I’m Carol and I am a ceramic artist and maker living and working from my home studio in Forfar. I am a graduate of Grays School of Art in Aberdeen and have been running my own business for over 30 years. I love variety and am a naturally curious person, and I have been lucky enough to have worked on a whole range of different projects all over the world. I really enjoy introducing people to the wonderful world of making and the joy of working with clay. I also like to facilitate collaboration, skills swaps and knowledge exchange and am a founder member of Angus Creatives – a new network of creatives from all disciplines who get together regular to create opportunities and exchange ideas. Give me a shout if you are interested in joining us. We are launching the very first Angus Festival of Making 20-28th August 2022 which will give people a whole range of opportunities to get involved in hands on making and trying out new creative processes. Please get in touch if you want to know more.
