Nature Happy is a small business based in Angus. We help people slow down in nature using a variety of nature connection activities and techniques including Forest Bathing. These help calm your nervous system and reduce stress. We can offer activities such as:
- Outdoor nature connection activities
- Slow nature walks using your senses
- Forest bathing sessions
- Nature based journaling
Learning to slow down in nature helps you to reconnect with your senses and your body – allowing you to come out of the fight or flight mode brought on by prolonged stress. Plus, you get to connect with others who are also working towards better well-being.

I grew up in the Fife countryside most happy when outside with trees, plants and animals. From childhood, being outdoors in nature has been my happy place. Fast forward to adulthood, when I started my career as a clinical nurse, but quickly discovered my heart was in community health & wellbeing. I have 20+ years of first-hand experience working with community organisations that promote health including Paths for All and the Scottish Health Walks Network where I still work as a freelance trainer. A few years ago I qualified as a Forest Bathing Guide with the Forest Therapy Hub. This excellent training has given me the skills and experience to take people outdoors and help them slow down for the benefit of their health and wellbeing.
I live near Balgavies just outside Forfar and next to the 1800 acre Montreathmont Forest. Angus has so many beautiful locations to take people out for nature connection and forest bathing. Nature connection and forest bathing activities are available for local people and also for tourists who are visiting the area and can be tailored to suit different sizes of groups.
